Who We Are

Sam Houston Petroleum Land Services is a partnership between three long time friends and former Steele & Associates landmen, who bring over 60 combined years experience as practicing land professionals covering twenty-three states and Canada.

Jimmy Miller, CPL-  became a fulltime landman in 1996, he has worked primarily the Gulf Coast States, as a landman and crew chief.  He holds an accounting degree  from Sam Houston State University.

Steve Kerr- began his career in 1976 for Steele & Associates, during his time there he was a landman, crew chief and eventually held the position as Vice President of Land.

Kelly Steele- grew up in the land business. His family owned Steele & Associates, which during the 70s and 80s was one of the largest landman brokerage companies in The United States.  Kelly became a fulltime landman in 1994.  He has been a landman and crew chief on numerous jobs, in the southern United States.
